Study Ayurveda + Yoga
Learn about the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, Sanskrit for "life/vital power and knowledge." Certified Ayurveda Yoga Specialist Laura Coburn will guide you through the understanding the principles of this living science through the lens of nature. Explore techniques to support your health based on time day, season of year, and phase of life. Handouts will be provided. This workshop class is approachable, and suitable for everyone — no prior experience with Ayurveda needed.
October/November six-week Session: seasonal Support
Transitions can be tricky, but Ayurveda offers wisdom to support the body and mind through changes. Learn how asana, pranayama, and work with the brain can aid digestion, boost immunity, promote sleep, and manage anxiety. In this session, we will employ the teachings of Ayurveda as well as traditional yoga practices to help us gracefully transition through the change of seasons and manage the holiday celebrations to come. Simple daily routines and suggestions for home practice will be offered. Our 75-minute class time will consist of approximately one-third lecture and two-thirds movement and practice with the body and breath.
6-week session: October 16, October 23, October 30, November 7, 14 & 21. Class will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and end at 6:45 pm. $120 per person
ON BREAK for one week: November 27, 2019
December three-week Session: Holiday Balance
In this session we’ll learn how to apply the wisdom of Ayurveda and the gift of restorative yoga to balance the often frenetic pace of the holiday season.
3-week session: December 4, 11 and 18. Class will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and end at 6:45 pm. $60 per person
ON BREAK for two weeks: December 25 & January 1, 2019
Potential Winter Session

Potential 6-week session: January 8, 15, 22, 28, February 5 and 12. Class will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and end at 6:45 pm. $120 per person
Private Ayurveda Diet and Lifestyle Consultations
Private Ayurveda consultations are available on request. $175 for initial intake and one follow-up with recommended diet and lifestyle practices. $350 for initial intake and three follow-up visits over two months, plus attend any yoga class Laura teaches for free during the months of your consultation.
